Responsibilities
- Lead ElevenLabs' engagement with government bodies and officials across India, focusing on AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society groups.
- Monitor, analyze, and advise on emerging regulations impacting the company.
- Represent ElevenLabs at conferences and industry events to advance public policy goals.
- Support internal policy development with Legal, Safety, Security, and other teams.
- Provide strategic counsel to company leadership on regional policy trends and business implications.
- Promote government adoption of ElevenLabs products and services in partnership with the GTM team.
- Define and implement policy campaigns and impact initiatives that advance company objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in public- and private-sector policy roles, in-house or at a firm, focused on AI and technology.
- Strong knowledge of the regional AI policy landscape, including AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
- Demonstrated success designing, advocating for, and influencing policy outcomes, as well as building coalitions.
- Public policy experience across India.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including briefing government officials and policymakers.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
- Interest in AI and emerging technologies.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach.
