Brand and Communications Lead
Leads Bastion’s brand positioning, communications, executive visibility, press strategy, and targeted campaigns for institutional financial infrastructure buyers. The role requires strong judgment, independent execution, and ideally fintech or financial services experience.

Responsibilities
- Own Bastion’s positioning, voice, visual identity, and external communications.
- Define target audiences, messaging, priority channels, and a scalable content and communications workflow.
- Improve Bastion’s presence across social media, its website, and other priority channels.
- Build and manage pipelines of press, events, speaking opportunities, and industry relationships.
- Develop executive communications and work directly with the CEO on Bastion’s market image and visibility.
- Partner with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Commercial teams on high-signal communications and buyer-informed messaging.
- Launch targeted campaigns for priority customer segments and decision-makers.
- Establish performance tracking for brand and communications through inbound qualified leads and pipeline influence.
- Secure press coverage, speaking opportunities, and other credible third-party visibility.
- Operate as a high-impact individual contributor, using AI tools and contractors while maintaining quality and judgment.
Requirements
- Experience leading brand and communications work, ideally in fintech or financial services.
- Strong understanding of institutional buyers and credibility-sensitive markets.
- Ability to create differentiated positioning and messaging for Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, fintechs, and stablecoin-native payments companies.
- Experience with press relations, executive visibility, content, campaigns, events, and speaking opportunities.
- Ability to build a communications function and market presence from the ground up.
- Strong judgment, independent execution, and a high quality bar in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to measure communications impact through qualified inbound leads and pipeline influence.
Nice to Have
- Fintech or financial services experience.
- Experience with regulated businesses, financial infrastructure, stablecoins, or payments.
- Experience leveraging AI tooling and contractors to scale content and communications production.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $150,000–$225,000.
