Responsibilities
- Partner with design and product management leaders to shape and drive the team’s vision, strategy, and roadmap, balancing platform and product perspectives.
- Lead initiatives including architectural changes, hiring-process improvements, engineering-effectiveness improvements, and post-mortem processes.
- Provide technical leadership and drive development for a broadly scoped engineering team in a dynamic startup environment.
- Mentor team members, set expectations, and help them grow into larger workstreams.
- Enforce high-quality deliverables and raise engineering excellence by building and operationalizing tools, monitors, and processes across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- Experience building customer-facing products.
- Experience with systems operating at significant technical and organizational scale.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience building projects with strong abstractions and architecture.
- Ability to develop scalable and extensible core services used across many products.
