Fundamentals Financial Analyst

Analyzes issuer financial statements and credit-market documents, builds and maintains detailed financial models, and supports data quality initiatives. The role is designed for graduates in economics, accounting, or finance with strong analytical skills and an interest in credit markets.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial reporting documents, including earnings reports and presentations, offering memorandums, lender presentations, credit agreements, and other materials.
  • Prepare detailed financial models covering P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Capital Structure, Relative Performance metrics, and Ratio Analysis.
  • Build and maintain a coverage universe of financial models, updating them quarterly, monthly, and for key events.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and support day-to-day analytical problem solving.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects to improve the quality of the data set and data products.

Requirements

  • Degree in economics, accounting, or finance; graduates are eligible.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements to evaluate business performance and understand the relationship between business drivers and financial performance, including the ability to model these relationships quantitatively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including tenacity in resolving complex issues.
  • Strong interest in credit markets or financial markets generally.
  • Desire to learn and apply newly acquired skills for professional and personal growth.

Work Schedule

  • For the first six months, Bogotá-based employees work from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time to support training and overlap with the European team.
  • The schedule subsequently transitions to 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional early starts as needed.
