Technical Product Manager (Strategic Finance)

Technical Product Manager scales AI agents for finance teams by optimizing prompts, debugging integrations with SQL, building analytics dashboards, and designing customer journeys to drive adoption and expansion in strategic finance workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize AI & Prompt Performance: Maintain prompt libraries, tune model configurations, and ensure high-quality outputs for finance use cases.
  • Solve Technical & Data Problems: Debug AI outputs, integration issues, and data inconsistencies through hands-on SQL, API investigation, and collaboration with engineering.
  • Build Analytics & Insights: Create dashboards and analytics that reveal customer behavior, product usage patterns, and revenue expansion opportunities.
  • Inform GTM Strategy: Identify patterns across customers to refine positioning, messaging, onboarding playbooks, and expansion strategies.
  • Design High-Impact Customer Journeys: Optimize onboarding, training, and lifecycle experiences that help finance teams reach first value faster and become long-term power users.
  • Build Customer Health Frameworks: Develop systems for segmentation, health scoring, expansion signals, and proactive account insights.
  • Translate Customer Needs Into Product Requirements: Partner closely with engineering to scope features, refine requirements, and shape product direction with clarity and precision.
  • Architect Finance System Integrations: Work across ERPs, banks, CRMs, HRIS tools, and custom databases to design scalable agent capabilities and prompts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, finance operations, or data and systems roles supporting finance teams.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and finance team workflows.
  • Proficient in SQL for analysis, debugging, and working with customer data.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI) and data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Postgres).
  • Excellent communicator who builds trust with C-level finance executives.
  • Experience with finance systems (QBO, Ramp, NetSuite, Intacct, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or tuning AI outputs.
  • Experience improving onboarding, activation, or expansion processes for B2B SaaS or fintech products.
