What you’ll do
- Design and build robust frameworks and tools that empower hundreds of engineers and support millions of users.
- Improve foundational web architecture, build systems, CI/CD, and testing capabilities to unlock new levels of developer efficiency.
- Identify and solve cross-cutting site-wide challenges; propose, prototype, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Partner across teams to drive transformative, cross-functional initiatives that improve everything from performance and accessibility to build speed and reliability.
- Mentor colleagues, participate in code/design reviews, and help set the architectural vision for our web platform.
- Use AI to accelerate execution (prototyping, documentation, testing) and drive insights, always ensuring quality and accuracy.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years in FullStack/Web development, with mastery of JavaScript, CSS, DOM, HTTP, and browser fundamentals.
- Experience with React, Redux (or other state tools), Relay, GraphQL, TypeScript, Jest, and React Testing Library.
- Strong familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Turbopack, Vite), CI/CD flows, and scalable architectures.
- Experience with Node.js, server-side rendering, and frameworks like Next.js.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, Go—or the drive to pick up new languages as needed.
- History of leading large-scale, multi-team projects that elevate developer experience and product quality.
- Skilled at collaborating and influencing across engineering, testing, and platform adoption efforts.
- Relentlessly up-to-date on new technologies and best-in-class client architectures.
- Track record using AI to boost speed, quality, and insight—plus the rigor to validate AI-driven work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
