Responsibilities
- Own features end to end, from problem framing and technical design through implementation across backend and frontend, rollout, and ongoing operations.
- Design for enterprise constraints including permissions and access control, approvals, audit requirements, data residency, regional isolation, and degraded dependencies.
- Identify and resolve scalability and performance limits before customers encounter them.
- Extend the public API, Terraform provider, and configuration surfaces for fleet-scale infrastructure management.
- Work directly with customers through escalations and discovery calls, turning segment-specific problems into broadly useful capabilities.
- Improve observability, runbooks, and on-call readiness, including incident follow-through.
- Drive alignment across dependent teams.
- Mentor engineers and provide substantive specification and pull-request reviews.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience and a track record of driving features from design through production.
- Strong full-stack ability, including a statically typed backend language and frontend development.
- Experience with Go, TypeScript, and React, or comparable technologies.
- Experience building enterprise production products involving multi-tenancy, roles and permissions, SSO and identity, audit logging, approval workflows, or compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing and redesigning systems for scale and performance.
- Strong API design judgment and experience building interfaces used by other engineers.
- Ability to communicate directly with customers and generalize their needs into product capabilities.
- Willingness to collaborate across time zones, including occasional coordination with EMEA stakeholders.
- Clear technical writing and experience with design documents and written decisions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle — $191,800–$263,670.
- Zone 2: Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago — $172,600–$237,270.
- Zone 3: All other US locations — $163,000–$224,070.
- Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
