Workplace & Engagement Lead

Leads workplace operations and employee experience across Gigs’ international hubs, managing vendors, facilities, events, and workplace processes. The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong hospitality and project-management skills, and a Berlin base with travel across locations.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end experience of Gigs Hubs & Pads in Berlin, London, Amsterdam, New York, and San Francisco, ensuring each space is operationally excellent, welcoming, and aligned with the company’s brand and culture.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships for facilities, food, daily operations, and special events while balancing quality, cost, and experience.
  • Design and scale processes for bookings, access, inventory, and technology setup.
  • Partner with People Operations and the Founders Office to shape in-person work within a remote-flexible model.
  • Plan informal gatherings, celebrate milestones, and create moments that build belonging and connection.
  • Support logistics for company-wide offsites and executive meetings, including venue sourcing and experience design.
  • Influence workplace strategy, including potential expansion into new locations.
  • Champion sustainability, accessibility, and inclusivity in physical spaces.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing workplace operations or employee experience in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong understanding of how workplace design shapes culture, creativity, and connection.
  • Organized, proactive, and action-oriented, with the ability to work tactically and strategically.
  • Strong hospitality instincts, attention to detail, and a service mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate across time zones and functions with clarity and warmth.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and small-scale projects.
  • Comfort working in high-ownership environments and continuously improving experiences.
  • Clear, concise, and thoughtful written and verbal communication.
  • Based in Berlin and willing to travel across company locations.
  • Comfortable working outside regular nine-to-five hours.
