Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategy for public sector verticals, including federal agencies, state and local government, defense, regulatory bodies, and public utilities.
- Craft differentiated positioning and messaging for solutions pages, campaigns, and content aimed at distinct public sector audiences.
- Lead go-to-market efforts for product and solution launches, including sector-specific offerings and relevant MCP integrations and skills.
- Partner with communications on executive thought leadership about AI's potential to benefit underserved communities.
- Collaborate with social and content teams on a public sector content calendar featuring use cases, case studies, and partnership announcements.
- Drive thought leadership initiatives and speaking and event opportunities relevant to the public sector.
- Enable sales teams with materials, outbound campaigns, and pipeline-driving initiatives for public sector enterprise accounts and higher education institutions.
- Report on channel and campaign performance and identify opportunities for iteration.
Requirements
- Experience across multiple marketing functions, including content, campaigns, social, analytics, and sales enablement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex AI capabilities into clear narratives for nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to learn diverse government verticals and procurement cycles quickly.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across product, sales, partnerships, communications, and marketing.
- Passion for responsible and equitable AI deployment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Nice-to-haves
- 8+ years of marketing experience with exposure to the public sector, government technology, or GovTech.
- Experience marketing to government audiences and familiarity with federal, state and local, or international public sector procurement processes.
- Experience working in or with public sector organizations.
- Event marketing experience at public sector conferences.
- Enterprise sales enablement experience in complex or regulated industries.
- Track record of building marketing programs from scratch at a growth-stage company.
- Awareness of ethical considerations in government AI use cases.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual on-target earnings compensation: $320,000–$320,000 USD.
- This sales-role range includes target sales commissions or bonuses and annual base salary.
- Hybrid work arrangement with office attendance required at least 25% of the time; this role requires working from the Washington, D.C. or San Francisco office at least once a month.
- Up to 40% travel for events and customer engagements.
- Visa sponsorship may be available.
