Enterprise Core Account Executive, Public Sector
Leads strategic sales of a data and AI platform to Canadian public sector organizations, owning the full sales cycle, executive relationships, account expansion, and partner orchestration. Requires 7+ years of public sector SaaS, cloud, AI, or big data sales experience and expertise in Canadian government procurement.

Responsibilities
- Own and exceed revenue targets by winning new public sector customers in Western Canada, including central ministries, local governments, government agencies, and public institutions.
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies to identify, prioritize, and win high-potential public sector accounts.
- Plan, document, and drive expansion of Databricks usage in newly landed accounts, turning initial projects into broad data and AI platforms.
- Identify AI and data use cases in government operations and feed insights into public sector go-to-market strategy and product direction.
- Use a solution-oriented, value-based sales approach that links Databricks to measurable outcomes for public services and citizens.
- Orchestrate internal teams and SI, cloud, and consulting partners to run effective sales motions and deliver successful customer outcomes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of SaaS, cloud, AI, or big data sales experience in the public sector.
- Meaningful exposure to public sector accounts and a proven ability to drive adoption of new technologies through consultative, solutions-oriented sales.
- Ability to navigate complex public sector stakeholder ecosystems and build consensus across departments, budget owners, and decision-making layers.
- Deep understanding of public sector priorities in Canada, including buying processes, cycles, decision structures, and partner ecosystems.
- Extensive experience with Canadian government procurement, including budget formulation and execution, tender/RFP processes, evaluation criteria, and compliance and security frameworks.
- Experience applying structured sales methodologies such as account planning, MEDDPICC, value selling, and Command of the Message.
- Track record of creating customer champions and leading collaborative internal and external teams to support implementation and expansion.
- Ability to build focused public sector partner strategies and manage SI, cloud, and consulting partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling usage-based PaaS/SaaS or data, AI, and ML solutions.
