About the role

Responsibilities

  • Scale and harden AWS infrastructure to meet growing enterprise demand
  • Analyze request logs, debug event streams, and improve system reliability
  • Design and build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our AI platform
  • Work directly with customers to understand real-world healthcare workflows, scope integrations, and translate requirements into product specs
  • Build internal tooling to automate workflows and increase team leverage
  • Write evals to identify weaknesses and drive improvements in our LLM-powered systems
  • Work across the stack when needed — from backend services to frontend — to ship complete solutions
  • Contribute to Anterior's SDKs, developer documentation, and platform architecture

Requirements

  • Depth in backend and/or infrastructure
  • Experience building APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and distributed systems
  • Experience scaling and hardening cloud infrastructure (serious AWS footprint)
  • Owned system design decisions, shipped to production, operated at scale
  • Led projects, mentored junior engineers, made architectural decisions
  • Passion for fundamentals: system design, architecture (pacelc, consistency guarantees), writing code that lasts

Infra: Nix, AWS (CDKTF, migration experience a plus)
