Responsibilities
- Lead development of test automation frameworks focused on reliability, maintainability, and speed.
- Create reusable test libraries and components for different product areas.
- Lead technical implementation of performance testing and monitoring solutions.
- Develop custom reporting and analytics tools for test coverage and quality metrics.
- Drive adoption of visual testing, accessibility testing, security testing, and AI-assisted testing.
- Mentor QA engineers on automation best practices and framework usage.
- Optimize test execution pipelines for faster feedback in CI/CD environments.
- Implement test data management and synthetic data generation solutions.
- Partner with development teams on shift-left testing practices.
- Lead root cause analysis for critical issues and drive systematic improvements.
- Participate in code reviews to address testability and quality considerations early.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of software testing experience, with a strong focus on automation.
- Expert-level programming skills in Python or Java.
- Deep understanding of testing framework architecture, including page objects, custom assertions, and reporting integrations.
- Strong experience with modern testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, and API testing frameworks.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with containers.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud.
- Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
- Proven track record of building tools and frameworks used by engineering teams.
- Understanding of automation testing patterns and anti-patterns.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role requiring four days per week in the Bangalore office.
