Responsibilities
Vehicle Readiness & Preparation
Review and assess available AVs each shift, executing pre-deployment safety checks and end-of-day diagnostics
Progress vehicles through operational states by completing checklists, sensor inspections, and verification processes
Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections following partner standards, annotating issues
Manage daily tasks via digital task management system
Charging, Cleaning & Fleet Servicing
Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness meeting partner brand standards
Execute strategic charging activities at optimal times
Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks including fluid checks/refills, tire pressure adjustments, and minor component replacements
Use only approved cleaning chemicals and follow hazardous materials handling protocols
Data Management & Security
Execute secure data handling activities including data transfers, offload procedures, and device tracking
Ensure all data offload procedures meet established SLAs with proper documentation
Use only employer-supplied, corporate-enrolled devices for photos and data transfer
Maintain strict security protocols for sensitive hardware
Calibration & Technical Operations
Conduct calibration activities to reintroduce repaired vehicles into autonomous operation
Drive autonomous vehicles within depot and on public roads for calibration procedures
Validate calibration success through system checks and diagnostic procedures
Maintain accurate records of all calibration activities
Lot Management & Logistics
Manage lot operations including parking, staging, and moving AVs to appropriate areas
Update vehicle status in real-time tracking systems
Confirm completion of all service and repairs, tracking SLA compliance
Flag maintenance needs and repair requirements to Fleet Supervisor
Safety & Compliance
Follow all OSHA, EHS, and partner safety guidelines including proper PPE usage
Maintain all required qualifications and certifications
Immediately report safety concerns, vehicle damage, or operational issues
Ensure all work meets or exceeds partner operations system standards
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in automotive technology, logistics, or related field preferred
1-2 years of experience in automotive, fleet operations, logistics, or similar hands-on operational environment
Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
Strong attention to detail with ability to follow complex SOPs
Physical capabilities to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions
Technical proficiency with mobile devices, tablets, and basic computer systems
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to obtain required certifications including Defensive Driving certification
Individual contributor role mapping air cleaning technologies, identifying gaps, designing and executing IAQ pilots and RFPs, building roadmaps and playbooks, and conducting stakeholder research to scale deployment of high-quality ACT products. Requires 7-10+ years in strategy/ops, hands-on execution, and experience with physical products or pilots.
