About the role

What you'll be doing

  • Build Basis's sales enablement function from the ground up
  • Design the onboarding and ramp program for new reps
  • Codify playbooks and messaging
  • Build content, training, and certification programs
  • Partner with sales leadership, marketing, product, and RevOps to keep reps current on product and buyer
  • Own enablement tooling and content library
  • Run training and coaching cadences
  • Sharpen discovery and demo motions
  • Equip team with competitive and objection-handling resources
  • Measure enablement effectiveness through ramp time, win rates, and rep productivity

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years in sales enablement, sales training, or quota-carrying / sales-adjacent role at a B2B software company
  • Experience building or scaling an enablement function
  • Track record designing onboarding, ramp, and ongoing training programs that improved seller productivity
  • Strong instincts for sales messaging and playbook development
  • Ability to translate complex products into clear, sellable narratives
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and RevOps leadership
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to work in office in Manhattan 5 days per week

  • Finance experience (accounting, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital)
  • Enablement experience for teams selling accounting/finance software into the office of the CFO
  • Startup experience at high-growth companies during scale phases
  • Familiarity with modern enablement and sales tooling (CRM, enablement platforms, conversation intelligence)
