Senior Field Technical Program Manager, FDE

Responsibilities

• Lead successful delivery of complex customer engagements, providing technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams.
• Guide technical teams through architectural decisions and trade-offs between established and innovative approaches.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies affecting timelines and goals.
• Produce status reports, program plans, customer responses, and other high-quality deliverables.
• Manage program scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources, with emphasis on technical complexity.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for customer technical delivery issues and coordinate rapid resolution.
• Build trust with technical stakeholders by articulating Databricks solutions and facilitating productive meetings.
• Manage multiple engagements while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Technical acumen sufficient to make sound technical decisions without hands-on coding.
• Experience managing large, complex engagements and unexpected technical challenges.
• Familiarity with trade-offs among scope, budget, and timeline.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to influence technical teams and tailor communication for engineers and executives.

• Experience with business intelligence, data management, and big data technologies.

Compensation

• Base salary range varies by location zone: $124,800–$171,600 USD (Zone 4), $132,600–$182,400 USD (Zone 3), $140,400–$193,050 USD (Zone 2), or $156,000–$214,500 USD (Zone 1).
• Compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
