About the job

Responsibilities

  • Own team outcomes end to end, from problem definition and technical design through launch and measured impact.
  • Stay hands-on by writing and reviewing production code, leading architecture decisions, and tackling ambiguous problems.
  • Recruit, source, sell, close, and onboard engineers; own the team’s hiring bar.
  • Grow and mentor engineers through clear expectations and direct feedback.
  • Work directly with providers, biopharma partners, and operations teams to understand user needs.
  • Improve how the team builds with AI and experiment with more productive software-development practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years building software and shipping products used by real customers.
  • 2+ years leading engineers with ownership of delivery and team health.
  • Strong individual-contributor background with full-stack range across backend systems and user-facing interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit strong engineers.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business problems into structured, shipped solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Track record of moving quickly and delivering on ambitious goals.
  • Strong references and positive feedback from former teammates and reports.
