Forward Deployed Engineer

Own end-to-end deployment and integration projects for defence and government customers, connecting vehicle intelligence platforms with operational systems. The role requires strong software engineering, systems integration, customer engagement, and the ability to work across ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with defence and government customers to deploy, integrate, and operationalize vehicle intelligence products in military and government environments.
  • Tackle technical challenges spanning software engineering, operating system configuration, system deployment, and hardware integration.
  • Bridge customer-built systems and Applied Intuition solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable, consistent approaches for customer engagement and project execution.
  • Develop architectural solutions that improve consistency and scalability across projects.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Own technical outcomes and drive projects to completion while adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Travel between company offices and customer sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Broad technical experience across software engineering, operating systems, and hardware.
  • Experience supporting integration and deployment of complex systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous, rapidly evolving operational environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-problem-solving focus.
  • Experience driving customer engagements and success.
  • Ability to hold UK Security Clearance; current or previous clearance is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with government customers, defence contractors, or in military environments.
  • Familiarity with system architecture and scalable solution design.
  • Experience in defence, automotive, robotics, or adjacent industries.
