Compliance Officer
Build and operate Forus’s healthcare compliance, privacy, HIPAA, and AI/data governance programs while advising the business and leading incident response. The role requires 10+ years of compliance, privacy, legal, or regulatory experience, ideally including substantial healthcare compliance experience.

Responsibilities
- Own an OIG-aligned healthcare compliance program supporting operations and client and partner trust.
- Oversee privacy and HIPAA compliance programs, including policies, workforce training, minimum-necessary practices, and technical-control partnership with Security.
- Operationalize compliance requirements and own policy, training, monitoring, and remediation cycles.
- Provide practical, day-to-day compliance guidance to the business.
- Lead compliance incident response, including investigations, risk and breach assessments, remediation, and trend analysis.
- Partner with Legal, Security, Clinical, and Engineering on enterprise risk assessments, audits, and certification processes.
- Co-own AI and data-use governance, including risk assessment, human oversight, testing, monitoring, incident response, vendor diligence, and leadership reporting.
Requirements
- 10+ years of compliance, privacy, legal, or regulatory experience, including meaningful hands-on ownership of a compliance program.
- Ideally, 5+ years of healthcare compliance experience spanning HIPAA/HITECH, fraud and abuse, investigations, monitoring, policies, and corrective action.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex compliance requirements into strategic, actionable guidance.
- Ability to turn ambiguous questions into clear, structured answers with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to move quickly, find practical shortcuts, and deliver on challenging goals.
