Member of Technical Staff

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with other teams at Basis to deeply learn their workflows.
• Build agents that offload work to AI, creating zero-human loops for entire jobs.
• Invent new infrastructure, interfaces, operating models, and human-agent collaboration methods.
• Experiment with agents, incorporate learnings back into team processes, and push boundaries of knowledge work.
• Become the world’s expert in using AI for the specific function you embed with (e.g., autonomous software factory for engineering, AI-managed customer relationships for deployed intelligence).
• Ensure success of the embedded team as your own success metric.

Requirements

• In person in Flatiron, NYC 5 days a week.
• First principles and systems thinker: able to decompose novel problems, reason from fundamentals, and design compounding solutions.
• Mix of agency, customer obsession, product taste, technical skill, and communication ability (future founder profile).
• Excited about working with coding agents (unlimited token budget provided).
• Passionate about outcomes over process.
• Excited about the frontier of applying agents to real economy problems.
