Embed with Basis teams to deeply understand workflows and build AI agents that automate entire jobs end-to-end. Requires first-principles thinking, technical skill, and founder-like agency to invent new human-AI operating models at the frontier of applied ML.

Responsibilities
- Embed directly with other teams at Basis to deeply learn their workflows.
- Build agents that offload work to AI, creating zero-human loops for entire jobs.
- Invent new infrastructure, interfaces, operating models, and human-agent collaboration methods.
- Experiment with agents, incorporate learnings back into team processes, and push boundaries of knowledge work.
- Become the world’s expert in using AI for the specific function you embed with (e.g., autonomous software factory for engineering, AI-managed customer relationships for deployed intelligence).
- Ensure success of the embedded team as your own success metric.
Requirements
- In person in Flatiron, NYC 5 days a week.
- First principles and systems thinker: able to decompose novel problems, reason from fundamentals, and design compounding solutions.
- Mix of agency, customer obsession, product taste, technical skill, and communication ability (future founder profile).
- Excited about working with coding agents (unlimited token budget provided).
- Passionate about outcomes over process.
- Excited about the frontier of applying agents to real economy problems.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience as a founder or strong entrepreneurial drive.
- Background in building or experimenting with AI agents.
- Strong interest in the future of knowledge work and AGI impacts on company building.
