Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and code user-facing product features, combining UI/UX design with technical implementation.
• Work on challenging product design problems and improve the in-house design system.
• Consult with Product Engineers on bespoke design work.
• Conduct customer conversations, create wireframes, implement design systems, and turn wireframes into polished interfaces.
• Build flexible, composable components for consistent product experiences.
• Improve information hierarchy and scannability in product designs.
• Ship quickly, gather feedback from users and internal teams, and iterate over time.
• Contribute to customer issue investigation and support across the team.

Requirements

• For this junior posting, have no more than 2 years of industry experience as a designer or engineer.
• Demonstrate strong visual design taste and growing ability in both UI/UX and engineering.
• Show personal or professional projects with at least some real users.
• Be able to design products and ship code to users.
• Work independently with minimal process and take ownership of decisions.
• Collaborate deliberately and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience contributing to a design system.
• Experience designing and implementing features and iterating based on user feedback.
• Experience with recruiting or talent acquisition software.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $121,000–$248,000.
• Work on a product serving more than 100,000 weekly active users and millions of candidates per week.
