Responsibilities
- Build full-stack product features that solve customer problems and make long-term investments in Ashby’s products.
- Own projects end-to-end, including customer research, competitor research, product specifications, wireframes, prototyping, implementation, and iteration.
- Work across the technology stack, from frontend development to infrastructure selection.
- Design and build responsive web applications, scheduling automation, generalized filtering systems, and offer-signing workflows.
- Create abstractions, tools, automation, and lint rules that improve engineering leverage and help Support debug issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, communicate decisions clearly, and deliver projects with an appropriate balance of speed and quality.
Requirements
- Experience building software across the stack, including frontend and backend systems.
- Ability to work effectively through product and technical ambiguity.
- Strong customer focus and the ability to understand user needs and translate them into software.
- Ability to balance engineering quality with startup urgency.
- Openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently without relying on company-driven process or extensive project-management structure.

Compensation
