Supports accounting, reporting, and compliance for international subsidiaries, including close, financial statements, intercompany transactions, and GAAP reconciliations. Responsibilities
- Support accounting and reporting processes for assigned countries, including journal entries, monthly and year-end close reconciliations, financial statement preparation and review, and coordination of tax, audit, census filings, and business bidding requests.
- Prepare support for US GAAP consolidated reporting and reconciliation to local GAAP reporting.
- Coordinate with local external bookkeepers, auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and application of intercompany transactions.
- Identify and implement automation and process improvements, collaborating cross-functionally on initiatives.
- Assist with projects and ad hoc assignments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting within a US multinational company or Big Four public accounting firm.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple complex, cross-functional projects across time zones and competing deadlines.
- Excellent proactive communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global cross-functional team.
- Sound judgment, discretion, integrity, and composure in high-pressure situations.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with NetSuite and Workiva.
- Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification.
- Big Four public accounting experience.
