Staff Product Manager - Social Planner

Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Social Planner, improving adoption, activation, retention, and published-post volume. Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for Social Planner.
  • Translate company and product vision into north-star metrics, long-term bets, and a sequenced 12–18 month roadmap.
  • Identify and validate impactful problems for agencies, marketers, SMBs, and other core customers.

UI/UX and Competitive Parity

  • Lead improvements to scheduling, approvals, calendars, collaboration, automations, and comment management workflows.
  • Improve statistics and reporting, including post performance, account-level insights, and content analytics.
  • Build controls for permissions, approvals, governance, and workspace management.
  • Partner with Design on intuitive, scalable UX and with Engineering on high-quality execution.

Execution and Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Turn strategy into prioritized roadmaps, problem statements, and detailed specifications.
  • Run customer discovery, data analysis, and experiments to validate problems and solutions.
  • Partner with Engineering on releases, scope management, and predictable delivery.
  • Work with Marketing, Sales, Support, and Customer Success on positioning, messaging, go-to-market plans, documentation, training, and field feedback.

Mentorship and Team Development

  • Mentor and develop two Associate Product Managers into Product Manager II roles.
  • Build a data-informed, customer-obsessed, outcome-driven product management culture.
  • Lead by example in product requirements documents, problem framing, stakeholder management, prioritization, experimentation, and discovery.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of Product Management experience.
  • 3+ years at Senior, Staff, or Principal level owning complex product areas.
  • Proven experience shipping impactful products in B2B SaaS.
  • Experience in marketing automation or social media management is preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including a conceptual understanding of APIs, data flows, and system design.
  • Deep experience with discovery and experimentation, including defining metrics, running A/B tests, analyzing usage data, and validating hypotheses.
  • Experience rebuilding or significantly revamping complex UX flows such as dashboards, editors, planners, or calendars.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments with multiple priorities.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working with data-, machine-learning-, or artificial-intelligence-driven products.
  • Experience in marketing automation or social media management.

Success Metrics

  • Deliver an aligned 12–18 month Social Planner roadmap within the first year.
  • Ship improvements that make Social Planner competitive with leading social tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, and Publer.
  • Improve usage, retention, and satisfaction across the product area.
  • Establish a reputation as a strategic leader who connects teams and drives meaningful outcomes.
