Inside Sales Representative
The Inside Sales Representative will be a proactive hunter, identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers to build a healthy pipeline for the Account Executive team. This role focuses on outbound efforts, researching target accounts, crafting compelling outreach, and initiating conversations with prospects.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential customers through strategic outbound efforts including cold calling, research, networking, and marketing-supported campaigns. Leverage marketing-generated content and tools to enhance outreach.
- Inbound Lead Engagement & Qualification: Act as the first point of contact for inbound leads generated through marketing initiatives (webinars, guides, website forms, etc.). Conduct discovery calls to assess fit, build interest, and advance prospects through the funnel.
- Lead Nurturing & Pipeline Management: Qualify leads through thoughtful discovery and needs analysis. Manage and prioritize both inbound and outbound leads, ensuring timely follow-up and consistent movement through the sales funnel.
- Collaboration with Sales & Marketing: Partner with Marketing to align on campaign messaging, target segments, and performance feedback. Work closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs of qualified opportunities and share insights that inform ongoing go-to-market strategies.
- Relationship Building: Establish and grow relationships with prospects by understanding their pain points and objectives. Share tailored insights, product knowledge, and use cases to build trust and long-term interest.
What you'll bring:
- Communication & Relationship Building: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels and build rapport with both prospects and internal teams.
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: A natural self-starter with a proven ability to identify potential clients and convert them into qualified opportunities — you don't wait for leads to come to you.
- Resilience & Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment, with experience overcoming obstacles and using creative outreach strategies to drive engagement. You see rejection as part of the process, not the end of it.
- AI Curiosity: A genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and technology — you're already experimenting with things like Claude, Replit, and Gemini and get excited about what they can do.
Requirements:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on persuasive and clear presentation abilities
- Proficient in CRM software and Google Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and foster a team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with sales engagement platforms (Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo, etc.) is a plus
