Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and design processes; coach, mentor, and support team members.
- Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations stakeholders to align on projects and objectives and shape team strategy and roadmaps.
- Own problems end to end across diverse systems, processes, and technologies while improving efficiency and user experience.
- Uphold engineering standards, consistency across codebases, and best practices.
- Recruit engineering talent with the recruiting team to build a diverse, high-performing team.
- Support team members’ career growth through tailored development opportunities.
Requirements
- 4+ years of engineering management experience, directly managing and growing teams of 5+ engineers building and shipping products at scale.
- 8+ years of full-time software development experience.
- Experience building extensible software solutions that scale to varied user needs and advocating for excellent user experiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience tackling complex challenges creatively.
- Experience handling ambiguity and executing multiple high-impact workstreams simultaneously.
- Commitment to a supportive, feedback-driven, and challenging work environment.
- Technical proficiency to engage with engineers on architecture and product design.
- Autonomy and entrepreneurial ownership of initiatives.
