Responsibilities
- Take ownership of well-scoped features and deliver them from implementation through production
- Build and maintain backend services within a distributed microservices architecture
- Contribute to data-intensive applications and gain exposure to real-time transaction decisioning, stream-processing, and machine learning
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of engineering quality
- Contribute to engineering best practices including testing, monitoring, and documentation
- Collaborate with product, data, and business stakeholders to ship features that directly impact members
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience, with backend experience using a JVM language, preferably Java
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design principles
- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with cloud-hosted services like AWS or GCP
