Leads strategic product partnerships across the semiconductor ecosystem, structuring and closing complex commercial, software, IP, and technology-access agreements. Responsibilities
- Research, source, structure, negotiate, and close strategic collaborations across the semiconductor stack while shaping internal priorities for the vertical.
- Serve as the internal expert on semiconductor partnerships for research, product, and leadership, translating between silicon-industry realities and the product roadmap.
- Navigate complex counterparty organizations, including R&D, legal, IP/licensing, and procurement, to finalize non-standard contracts and research agreements.
- Structure commercial software, IP, and technology-access agreements with terms that work for both sides and preserve collaboration flexibility.
- Coordinate across research, product, engineering, corporate development, policy, finance, and legal to scope, evaluate, approve, and implement partnerships end to end.
- Support executive-level engagements with strategic counterparties by preparing briefings, deal frameworks, and negotiation strategy.
- Take ownership of commercial deals in other Product Partnerships verticals as company priorities shift.
Requirements
- 8+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, technology licensing, or corporate development, with meaningful experience in or adjacent to the semiconductor industry.
- Experience closing deals across multiple industries or deal types and rapidly adapting to new domains.
- Track record of landing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships, including commercial software or IP licenses, technology-access deals, or strategic alliances with large engineering organizations.
- Working fluency in the semiconductor landscape, including design flows, PDKs, verification, and process nodes.
- Strong commercial and legal instincts regarding licensing, including EULAs, IP rights, usage restrictions, and non-standard deal structures.
- Curiosity about AI/ML and frontier models for hardware design and manufacturing.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to haves
- Technical foundation in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with design or manufacturing teams.
- Experience negotiating enterprise software at scale.
- Experience with technology or IP diligence in M&A or asset-acquisition contexts.
Compensation and benefits
- Annual salary: $205,000–$240,000 USD
