Responsibilities
Ocean Planning & Execution
- Manage the full cycle of shipment planning and bookings, from forecasting and allocation control to SO release.
- Coordinate daily with Account Management, Procurement, Allocation & Yield, and carrier offices to secure capacity and protect critical shipments.
- Maintain accurate space visibility across Flexport systems, including FFA and the Fulfillment Management Tool (FMT), and maintain sailing schedules.
- Drive optimal space utilization while ensuring compliance with carrier allocation rules and performance metrics.
Carrier Performance & Exception Handling
- Serve as the first point of escalation for booking exceptions, space shortfalls, and service disruptions.
- Leverage relationships with carrier local offices to resolve issues quickly, including SO pushes, equipment release, and rollover prevention.
- Monitor carrier KPIs, including on-time performance, equipment availability, and service quality, and flag trends to Procurement and Operations Excellence teams.
Process Improvement & Market Insights
- Identify workflow gaps and propose process enhancements to improve speed and accuracy.
- Share market intelligence and seasonal trends across internal teams to support trade-lane strategy.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to enhance planning tools and data automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5–7 years of experience in freight forwarding, ocean carrier operations, or logistics planning.
- Proven experience working closely with carrier local offices or directly in a carrier customer service role.
- Strong understanding of TPEB trade lanes, allocation cycles, and equipment control.
- Excellent communication skills in Thai and English.
- Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and highly organized.
- Proactive, data-driven problem solver who thrives in a fast-moving environment.
