Autonomous Vehicle Specialist
Tests and operates autonomous yard trucks, monitors vehicle systems, and helps launch AV technology at customer sites. The role requires strong technical aptitude, safe independent operation, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and flexibility for rotating shifts and extended outdoor work.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate Autonomous Yard Trucks (AYTs) both in the vehicle and remotely.
- Complete tests according to test plans and procedures.
- Assist with developing and implementing new procedures and tests.
- Isolate, track, document, and triage issues systematically.
- Monitor onboard and offboard vehicle systems and provide clear, concise feedback.
- Interact with customers as an ambassador for the company’s technology.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age and at least 5 years of driving experience; autonomous vehicle or test-vehicle experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new software and processes.
- Proven interest and technical capability working with modern automotive systems.
- Experience in a professional environment emphasizing safety, honesty, procedures, or software testing.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and procedures.
- Ability to work professionally in close quarters for extended periods.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Ability to pass required safety, performance, drug, criminal background, and DOT-based physical checks.
- Ability to operate a vehicle and use a laptop in a moving vehicle for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to work outdoors for up to 10 hours per day and on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays.
