Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for the Exposure Management team, driving technical direction across services and strengthening architecture and system design practices.
- Own the migration plan and execution to bring legacy Attack Surface Management functionality onto the new Exposure Management platform.
- Balance customer commitments on the legacy product with the long-term migration roadmap.
- Take end-to-end ownership of backend services, resolving complex legacy behavior and ensuring interoperability with the new platform.
- Drive technical alignment across shared systems to improve coordination, scalability, and engineering effectiveness.
- Mentor team members and foster technical excellence through architectural leadership and high engineering standards.
- Leverage AI and large language model technologies to improve engineering efficiency, development workflows, and intelligent platform capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Go.
- Deep understanding of Internet technologies, including WHOIS, Certificate Subject Alternative Names (SANs), and DNS record types.
- Strong distributed systems background, including horizontally scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience with service-oriented architectures and supporting operational stacks, including gRPC, REST, microservices, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to navigate unfamiliar legacy systems, reverse-engineer behavior, and resolve complex issues with minimal disruption.
- Strong communication and technical design skills, including architecture documentation, systemic gap identification, and end-to-end solution delivery.
- Curiosity and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.

- Experience integrating AI and LLM technologies into engineering workflows, automation, or product experiences.
- Experience leading product migrations or platform consolidations while balancing legacy customer commitments with parallel new development.
- Familiarity with microservice-based, event-driven architectures using Google Cloud Pub/Sub or similar technologies.
- Experience enforcing test coverage through CI and using linters and code complexity checks.
- Knowledge of maintainable software design patterns and effective abstractions.
Compensation and Benefits
- High-cost-of-living locations, including San Francisco Bay, New York City, and Seattle: $198,000–$233,000 USD base salary, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
- All other US locations: $172,000–$216,000 USD base salary, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
- Compensation may be localized based on employee work location.
