About the role

What you will do

  • Own Workflow Studio – Rippling's cross-product automation engine that customers use to build multi-step workflows spanning Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits, IT, Finance, and third-party apps
  • Own the reliability and quality of the platform customers have already built their operations on, while simultaneously pushing it into the next generation of AI-powered and agentic automation
  • Define how triggers, conditional logic, approvals, and escalations work across Rippling's product surface area – building primitives that serve every product team
  • Work directly with engineering to navigate event-driven architectures and pipeline infrastructure while shaping how LLMs transform workflow automation
  • Work cross-functionally across product, engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to drive adoption and ensure workflows are properly launched, sold, and supported

Qualifications

  • Has owned a public-facing platform or infrastructure product that customers built on and depended on – PaaS, automation, integration, or workflow orchestration
  • Has been responsible for revenue from a platform or infrastructure product – understands how platform capabilities translate to pricing, packaging, and growth
  • Demonstrated technical depth from owning infrastructure – can navigate event-driven architectures and pipeline systems, and has an informed point of view on how AI changes workflow automation
  • Strong opinions about where workflow automation is going, shared freely
  • Strong alignment with Rippling's leadership principles, particularly 'Push the limits of possible', 'Are right, a lot', 'Challenge each other directly', and 'Change their minds'

Nice to have

  • Experience with workflow or automation platforms (Zapier, n8n, Temporal, Airflow, or internal equivalents)
  • Navigating a V1-to-V2 platform migration
  • Shipping AI-powered features in production
