Responsibilities
- Drive the team's technical roadmap and architectural decisions, balancing short- and long-term investments to build reusable, scalable systems for marketing needs.
- Improve developer productivity through processes, tools, and abstractions that increase efficiency, extensibility, and code quality.
- Lead team-wide initiatives and propose strategic work on behalf of engineering management.
- Partner with senior Product and Marketing leaders on product design and technical decisions.
- Champion observability, resilience, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, cost optimization, and security-by-design.
- Mentor engineers up to L5 and resolve cross-team execution blockers.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of software engineering experience, including technical roadmap leadership and team-level architectural decisions.
- Expert proficiency in Python and experience designing reusable abstractions, frameworks, and patterns.
- Deep knowledge of scalable, high-throughput systems, observability, cost efficiency, and security.
- Experience influencing product roadmaps and partnering with senior Product and Marketing leaders.
- Track record of improving team productivity through process improvements, tooling, and mentorship.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional influence skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience establishing infrastructure, tooling, and best practices for AI-assisted development.
- Expertise in ad tech platforms and marketing technology ecosystems.
- Experience leading legacy-system modernization and managing technical debt.

- US base salary ranges vary by location: $230,000–$242,500 USD in CA, NY, CT, and NJ; $220,000–$232,000 USD in WA; $211,000–$222,500 USD in OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, and HI; and $192,000–$202,500 USD in all other states.
