Responsibilities
Content Optimization
- Execute strategies for structuring and optimizing content to improve retrievability by large language models (LLMs).
- Develop and refine machine-parsable content blocks aligned with semantic density and emerging AI answer formats.
- Structure content using Schema.org and JSON-LD best practices for LLM visibility while maintaining brand and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities by reviewing GEO prompt data, analyzing competitors, and assessing business content needs.
GEO Knowledge and Application
- Maintain working knowledge of LLM functionality, relevant KPIs, and content-related Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices.
- Apply concepts including vector embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), grounding, chunks, passages, and citations.
- Stay current on GEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), AI Optimization (AIO), and organic visibility trends.
Data and Workflow
- Use data-driven methods to execute content tasks and identify performance trends.
- Collaborate with Customer First teams to publish optimized content effectively.
- Manage assigned content tasks while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Use AI in content analysis, editing, and production workflows to improve efficiency and output.
- Track and analyze SEO and GEO KPIs for Customer First subdomains and provide optimization insights and recommendations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in SEO and content strategy, focused on content optimization and/or development.
- Understanding of how content is evaluated by LLMs and modern search-ranking algorithms.
- Familiarity with GEO concepts and the role of LLMs in search.
- Working knowledge of SEO platforms such as STAT, SEMrush, Lumar/DeepCrawl, Looker Studio, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Profound.
- Proficiency in data analysis and gathering insights for content output and performance tracking.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate content requirements and results.
- Experience with HTML, Salesforce Experience Builder, or similar enterprise-level systems.
Nice to Have
- Background in post-sales roles, Identity and Access Management (IAM), B2B marketing, SaaS, or cybersecurity.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary range in Canada: $73,000–$100,100 CAD.
- Equity, where applicable, bonus, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP matching, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave, including PTO and parental leave, according to applicable plans and policies.
