Responsibilities
- Lead RFP and commercial sourcing processes for European data center deals, including developer outreach, proposal evaluation, and competitive selection.
- Negotiate term sheets and manage LOI processes, structuring commercial terms around technical and business requirements.
- Drive transactions from LOI through execution, ensuring commercial, technical, and legal requirements are satisfied.
- Coordinate due diligence with legal counsel, network, engineering, finance, deployments, and government relations teams.
- Maintain transaction timelines, track critical-path items, and identify deal-closure risks.
- Translate technical and operational requirements into commercial agreements.
- Manage digital infrastructure development activities through construction-ready status.
- Match projects, capital stacks, and developers at appropriate stages.
- Navigate European permitting, grid connection, regulatory, power, and development requirements.
- Develop scalable transaction processes and playbooks.
- Partner with Compute Markets leadership on market, site, and counterparty prioritization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, or infrastructure procurement.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder transactions from sourcing through execution.
- Strong negotiation skills involving term sheets, LOIs, and commercial agreements.
- Project management experience coordinating legal, technical, finance, and operational teams.
- Experience with RFP processes and competitive sourcing for large-scale infrastructure or real estate transactions.
- Experience working across European markets and knowledge of the regional data center and development landscape.
- Ability to operate across countries with differing legal frameworks, languages, and business cultures.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and risk-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Nice-to-haves
- Data center or hyperscale infrastructure transaction experience.
- Development-side industry experience, including yield-on-cost, cap rates, and development fees.
- Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure requirements, including power density, cooling, and network connectivity.
- Experience with complex lease negotiations or infrastructure agreements across European jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with utility coordination, power procurement, renewable PPAs, and European energy regulations.
- Knowledge of data sovereignty and regulatory considerations in European site selection.
- Relationships with European data center developers, operators, or brokers.
- Background in corporate development, strategic partnerships, or infrastructure investment.
- Experience managing infrastructure expansion at high-growth technology companies.
Compensation and benefits
- Annual compensation range: £1–£1 GBP.
- Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time.
