Principal Solution Engineer - Wealth & Asset Management
The Principal Solution Engineer partners with sales teams and customers in the UK to design, demonstrate, and implement Snowflake data solutions. The role requires strong customer-facing presentation skills, SQL, modern data technology experience, and expertise in data architecture and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities
- Present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
- Demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demos and proofs of concept through design and implementation.
- Create and develop technical champions within accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins.
- Present Snowflake roadmap features and functionality to customers and prospects.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors, and position Snowflake accordingly.
- Collaborate with sales engineers, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, ecosystem partners, and implementation partners.
- Represent Snowflake at industry and customer events.
- Build joint architectures and collaborate on account strategies and initiatives.
- Contribute to account and territory plans and execute them across the broader internal and external ecosystem.
Requirements
- Experience working with modern data technologies, such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, and Git.
- Solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment, or relevant experience in analytics, data science, or data engineering.
- Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboarding, presentations, and demos.
- Understanding of and experience with data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
- Hands-on experience with SQL.
- Ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake solutions.
- Strong written and verbal customer-facing communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in wealth and asset management.
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies.
