Responsibilities
- Build data-intensive systems and high-throughput integrations with Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Iceberg, Delta Lake, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
- Handle production edge cases involving database configurations, data types, upgrades, failovers, and large transactions.
- Design integration solutions that leverage ClickHouse performance and throughput.
- Debug complex production issues using runtime diagnostics and observability tools.
- Build infrastructure and tools that improve reliability, reduce incident response time, and simplify operations.
- Write clear public and internal documentation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Work with customers to understand integration requirements and identify product gaps.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, lead technical discussions, and influence product roadmaps.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience building data-intensive software solutions.
- Proficiency in Go, or systems programming experience with willingness to learn Go quickly.
- Experience deploying and operating cloud-native services on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Practical Kubernetes experience.
- Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
Nice-to-haves
- Database replication technologies, including CDC and logical replication.
- Durable execution frameworks such as Temporal.
- Data formats and protocols including Avro, Parquet, and Protobuf.
- Data processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, and Flink.
- Open-source software maintenance or contributions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $147,000–$238,000 USD annually.
