Payroll Specialist
Own global payroll operations and equity administration for a high-growth AI company. Manage multi-entity payroll cycles, Carta equity programs, reconciliations across HRIS/ERP systems, and support audits while partnering with People, Finance, Legal, and Tax teams.

Responsibilities
- Manage global payroll operations across direct employees, EORs (Employer of Record), and contractors, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant pay cycles.
- Assist in preparing and performing payroll-to-cash and payroll-to-ERP (GL) reconciliations, supporting month-end close.
- Administer global equity programs in Carta, including grants, vesting, exercises, platform maintenance, and equity-related taxable events.
- Maintain data consistency across HiBob, Carta, Deel, and ERP systems through reconciliations and exception reviews.
- Support audits and external advisors with accurate, well-documented operational data.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience administering equity plans in an international setting (e.g. RSUs, stock options, taxable events).
- Experience managing global payroll operations via Deel (including direct employees, EORs, and contractors) or similar global payroll platforms.
- Strong understanding of payroll and tax considerations related to equity compensation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, operational rigor, and ownership mindset.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Comfortable partnering cross-functionally with People, Finance, Legal, Tax, and external vendors.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience operating in SOX or AICPA/PCAOB audit environments.
- Experience automating workflows or optimizing integrations between HRIS, payroll systems, and equity platforms.
- Background working in global, high-growth technology companies.
