Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative culture and upholding high technical standards
• Grow the team through hiring and nurturing engineering talent
• Leverage technical expertise in software engineering to guide the team in building robust and scalable solutions
• Review & provide feedback for technical design docs and code changes
• Collaborate with the product team to create and execute the product roadmap
• Take on development tasks and debug production issues when necessary – this often involves diving into the details of infrastructure implementation, job systems, and full-stack features
• Grow the team and evolve processes to fit changing needs

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and proficiency in Javascript/Typescript
• Experience building full-stack products, with contribution to both frontend and backend
• 2+ years of experience in managing or leading engineering teams with a record of shipping high-quality products in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent technical communicator to a diverse group of audiences
• Collaborative mindset and proven experience in working in cross-functional teams in a remote environment
• Passionate about privacy and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization

Compensation

• USA Pay Range $180,000—$200,000 USD (applies to Tier 1 labor markets like SF Bay Area and New York City; may be adjusted based on location and qualifications)
