Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy and roadmap for Reddit Video Ads, partnering with Product and Design to build a premier brand advertising offering.
- Drive technical design and execution for Video Ads and Reddit-specific ad formats on Android.
- Establish Android best practices and conduct design reviews for high-performance, scalable experiences serving millions of users.
- Lead the full development lifecycle, from discovery and prototyping through testing, experimentation, and deployment.
- Mentor senior engineers across teams and establish best practices for design, testing, and operational excellence.
- Advocate for customers and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fully remote environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- At least 3+ years of deep Android development experience with Kotlin and modern Android architectural patterns.
- Completed at least four Android development projects from ideation through production deployment.
- Experience in ad tech and highly interactive or rich-media mobile experiences.
- Proven ability to deliver user-facing features where UI polish and performance are critical.
- Ability to design fault-tolerant client-side systems in complex, data-intensive environments.
- Experience using generative AI tools to improve software engineering productivity.
- Fluency with product metrics and designing and analyzing experiments.
- Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and project execution skills.
- Track record of technical leadership and mentoring.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $217,000–$303,900 USD.
- Equity in the form of restricted stock units; commission may apply depending on the position offered.
