Senior Finance Systems Engineer: Oracle Fusion
Leads architecture, integrations, and automation for Block’s Oracle Fusion-based financial systems across accounting, tax, treasury, procurement, and FP&A. The role requires hands-on Oracle Fusion expertise, advanced SQL/PL/SQL, financial data modeling, and solution architecture experience.

Responsibilities
- Embed AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot into daily workflows to accelerate code generation, automate testing, and improve delivery velocity.
- Design and maintain robust data models and solution architectures across Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP for complex accounting operations and downstream reporting.
- Architect, build, and support integrations between accounting systems, data lakes, and internal applications using SQL, PL/SQL, REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
- Identify system inefficiencies and deploy automation to scale financial workflows and reduce manual operational overhead.
- Translate accounting principles and business requirements into scalable technical designs and comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Data Engineering, Integration, product, and business teams to deliver automated enterprise solutions.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience configuring, customizing, and supporting Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP.
- Strong proficiency with relational databases, advanced SQL/PL/SQL, and web services including SOAP, REST, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with accounting process transformations, financial data modeling, and end-to-end solution architecture.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational dependencies and turn technical debt into streamlined, automated processes.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with peripheral financial modules intersecting with accounting data, including Tax and FCCS.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or cryptocurrency platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
- Zone A salary: $104,100–$156,100 CAD.
- Zone B salary: $104,100–$156,100 CAD.
