Own community growth for a generative media platform by building developer and creator programs, running events and online communities, and producing technical content. The role requires community-building experience, technical fluency, and strong creative instincts.

Responsibilities
- Build and own fal’s developer relations and community program across online and in-person channels.
- Develop a network of power users, hackers, creators, and creative technologists who test fal tools, provide feedback, and create showcaseable projects.
- Own Discord and Reddit programming, including events, workshops, webinars, hackathons, and creator competitions.
- Create demos, example projects, prompt guides, tutorials, and walkthroughs for developers.
- Support model and product launches through community activations, demos, challenges, early access, and technical content.
- Partner with Engineering, model partners, and customers on community programs and relay developer feedback.
- Find and amplify interesting builders and projects across the fal ecosystem.
- Collaborate with Marketing on launches, content, and in-person programming.
Requirements
- Experience building a developer, creator, or technical community program from the ground up, ideally at a fast-growing startup.
- Deep familiarity with generative media, including image, video, audio, and multimodal models.
- Technical fluency with APIs, models, developer tools, and engineering teams.
- Strong creative instincts and understanding of creators, hackers, and creative technologists.
- Experience running hackathons, meetups, workshops, webinars, competitions, or other developer programs.
- Ability to create hands-on resources such as demos, tutorials, prompt guides, and example projects.
- Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable representing the company online and in person.
Nice to Have
- Existing network in generative AI, creative technology, AI filmmaking, or developer tools.
- Experience with model labs, open-source communities, AI startups, or developer platforms.
- Ability to build small prototypes with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar tools.
- Experience creating technical content, speaking, presenting, or running workshops.
- Track record of building side projects, creative experiments, open-source projects, or hackathon projects.
