Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into technical requirements and practical, iterative designs.
- Develop implementation plans with the product manager against technical roadmaps.
- Maintain, develop, and deploy customer-facing workflows and product architecture.
- Analyze and propose scalable technical solutions for product offerings.
- Automate, test, and deploy individual and team work.
- Review code and technical designs, maintaining a high quality bar.
- Mentor developers and support their growth.
- Lead technical excellence and delivery maturity across a team of engineers.
- Drive efficient, scalable, and maintainable technical decisions and solutions.
- Identify technical and operational gaps and create plans to address them.
- Serve as a domain expert for part of the product surface while maintaining broad technical understanding.
- Collaborate with team leads and managers to deliver sustainable, consistent code.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of professional experience writing backend or data-driven software.
- Experience deploying production code and services to cloud-hosted environments.
- Experience delivering incremental releases from proof of concept through MVP to production.
- Experience working on large, complex problems.
- Strong focus on engineering excellence, clean code, and knowledge sharing.
- Experience taking ownership of existing codebases and continuing feature development.
- Strong prioritization and focus-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading engineers on complex projects.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with workflow orchestration technologies such as Temporal.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary: $225,000–$265,000 USD.
- Competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
