Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver distributed backend systems and foundational infrastructure, including dynamic configuration, container orchestration, and secrets storage, using Go, gRPC, TypeScript, and React.
- Define technical direction and strategic roadmaps with engineering management and stakeholders.
- Translate ambiguous problems into architectural plans with measurable outcomes.
- Build and scale high-reliability services supporting customer experience agent workflows and compliance processes.
- Own end-to-end delivery from design through production deployment.
- Mentor engineers on design, coding standards, testing, and operational practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across time zones and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical leaders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience architecting and delivering distributed systems for high-impact problems.
- Deep proficiency in Go (Golang) and scalable, high-traffic backend services.
- Experience with API development, including gRPC and GraphQL.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, message queues, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with rate limiters, caching, load balancing, circuit breakers, and observability through metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and influence architecture without direct authority.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: $218,025–$256,500 USD.
- Additional compensation may include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
