Senior Project Manager, Power Infrastructure

Leads end-to-end delivery of large-scale power generation infrastructure projects, directing engineering, construction, commissioning, procurement, controls, and stakeholder outcomes. Requires an engineering bachelor's degree, at least 7 years of large-project execution experience, industrial or power-sector expertise, and up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of an individual power infrastructure project, from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop project plans covering timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation.
  • Direct project scheduling, controls, KPIs, cost and schedule performance, change requests, and critical issue resolution.
  • Lead Project Engineering and Assistant Project Management leads and develop their teams.
  • Direct design, specification, engineering, construction, completions, commissioning, and turnover for power generation systems.
  • Ensure constructibility, code and regulatory compliance, safety, quality, and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Set procurement and contracting strategy; oversee purchasing, expediting, contract administration, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Provide field support and coordinate logistics during construction and commissioning; travel to field locations up to 50%.
  • Provide project reporting and escalation management to program and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience managing and executing large projects over $100 million, with lifecycle execution experience.
  • Experience in industrial environments, preferably power generation and oil and gas or energy-sector project execution.
  • Expertise in planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, risk management, resource allocation, change management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects from initiation to closeout.
  • Experience leading and developing cross-functional teams and direct leaders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and executive presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to field locations up to 50%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Gas turbine power generation experience.
  • Familiarity with construction inspection requirements and best practices.
  • Experience mentoring or managing Assistant Project Managers.
