Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and APIs for critical product capabilities.
- Build reliable, secure, and scalable systems for high-volume workflows across Spend, IT, identity, access, approvals, and compliance.
- Make architectural and technical decisions involving infrastructure, data modeling, performance, and operational reliability.
- Translate ambiguous business and customer needs into robust technical solutions with product, frontend, platform, design, and cross-functional teams.
- Build and evolve systems for workflows, permissions, policy enforcement, financial operations, device and app management, procurement, and security controls.
- Improve engineering quality through system design, code reviews, design reviews, mentorship, and backend best practices.
- Help create unified product experiences for managing employees, spend, devices, apps, access, and business operations.
- Support safe, reliable, explainable, auditable, and enterprise-ready AI-powered workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production engineering experience using Python, Go, or a similar high-scale backend language.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems architecture, data modeling, and relational database performance optimization.
- Experience contributing to systems operating at significant technical and organizational scale.
- Strong computer science and algorithms fundamentals.
- Experience delivering complex projects.
- Exceptional communication skills with technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
Compensation
- US salary: $168,000–$280,000 annually, plus benefits and equity.
