Responsibilities
Internet Map Execution
- Define business and customer priorities for the Censys Internet Map and maintain its competitive quality.
- Prioritize expansion of IPv4/IPv6 scanning scope, ports, protocols, scan frequency, DNS resolution, certificate discovery, and host discovery.
- Translate data-collection priorities into detailed engineering requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Track coverage against baselines, identify gaps, and define work to close them.
- Prioritize enrichment through technology fingerprinting, risk scoring, and third-party data integrations.
- Evaluate external data sources for accuracy, coverage, and cost.
- Define metrics for data and enrichment quality, schemas for coverage and context data, and supporting documentation.
Cross-Team Alignment and Execution
- Drive cross-functional data prioritization across the Censys product suite and provide business-priority input for sequencing protocols and enrichments.
- Align data investments with company goals, resolve multi-product conflicts, and provide roadmap transparency to product managers and engineering managers.
- Partner with engineering teams working on scanning infrastructure, data pipelines, and enrichment systems by providing clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and architectural context.
- Track coverage and context quality against baselines and translate gaps into concrete engineering work.
- Keep product, sales, marketing, and customer success teams informed through updates, enablement sessions, and technical documentation.
- Run delivery processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and status reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience in full-scale data platforms, cybersecurity, or intelligence products.
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, including deep experience with IP, DNS, and routing products.
- Technical fluency in data systems, distributed infrastructure, or scanning at scale.
- Experience writing detailed technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Experience defining data schemas and quality metrics.
- Experience writing documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience running delivery cadences with fast-moving engineering organizations.
- Proven ability to work with sales, engineering, and peer product managers without formal authority.
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Compensation
- High-cost-of-living U.S. locations, including San Francisco, Seattle, and New York City: $190,000–$220,000 USD base salary, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
- Other U.S. locations: $168,000–$205,000 USD base salary, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
- Remote compensation is localized according to employee work location at 83%–100% of the applicable range.
