Responsibilities
- Own tax filing and payments for a defined set of agencies and employers, with support from senior teammates.
- Prepare accounts ahead of filing, complete original filings, and monitor failed and late payments.
- Build toward independently handling late originals and amendments.
- File and pay under established workflows while learning how filing specifications and systems change with regulations.
- Balance tax accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate escalation root causes with senior teammates.
- Partner across Payroll Operations, R&D, and Revenue.
- Log friction points and write clear documentation that enables the team to act on process issues.
- Use AI to make work faster and more accurate.
- Manage deadlines and blockers proactively while progressing toward independently meeting service-level agreements.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to learn new systems, tools, or subject matter quickly, even without directly relevant experience.
- Comfort owning a defined scope and asking for help early when needed.
- Ability to identify and communicate problems without formal authority to resolve them.
- Curiosity about AI and internal tooling, with experience experimenting with AI or willingness to learn.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfort working in a product that is still being built and operating with ambiguity during ramp-up.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $65,875–$87,500 USD.
