Finance Operations Analyst

Handles indirect tax and state filings, reimbursements, cash and credit card reconciliations, and related accounting operations. Requires a bachelor’s degree, 1–3 years of accounting experience, and proficiency with Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely indirect tax filings.
  • Coordinate with the company’s filing agent to ensure state reports are filed accurately and on time.
  • Own member reimbursements, including processing physical checks, reconciling outstanding checks at month end, and managing escheatment.
  • Clear daily cash transactions and prepare comprehensive month-end cash account reconciliations.
  • Manage corporate credit card activity by accurately coding and booking expenses and performing month-end card reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on corporate or operational accounting experience.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, including US GAAP, and general ledger operations.
  • Experience with cash reconciliations, expense processing, and multi-state or corporate compliance tasks.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet monthly deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Experience with, or ability to quickly learn, modern accounting systems such as Sage Intacct.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range varies by geographic zone: $63,000–$90,000 USD.
