About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build agents and applications on AI Gateway and Sandbox before they ship, then turn what you learn into demos, templates, and open source projects developers actually clone and run.
  • Teach developers how to build with agentic infrastructure through writing, talks, videos, and live coding. Set the canonical examples the ecosystem emulates.
  • Shape the products themselves by sitting in planning meetings with PMs and engineers, hitting rough edges first, and ensuring they get fixed before launch.
  • Own important pieces of launches: example repos, launch demos, docs contributions, and the first wave of answers when developers start asking questions.
  • Track how developers across the ecosystem are building agents, where they get stuck, and what they're reaching for that doesn't exist yet.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in engineering, DevRel, or DX roles, with software you can point to.
  • Built and shipped AI applications or agents; know tool calling, model routing, and sandboxed code execution from using them.
  • Strong TypeScript, and at home in the Next.js and AI SDK ecosystem.
  • Public body of work: talks, posts, open source, or videos.
  • Can take a half-finished API and produce a working demo and a clear explanation in the same week, often the same day.
  • Changed a product roadmap with developer feedback.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Maintain or contribute to an open source project other developers depend on.
  • Spun up a microVM and have opinions on why isolation matters for agents.
  • Shipped something real on Vercel with the AI SDK.
