Responsibilities
- Own experimentation framework and standards across squads: design, run, evaluate experiments, set standards for well-run tests, own highest-stakes analyses.
- Drive strategic opportunity sizing: proactively identify bets, synthesize signals, help leadership prioritize.
- Own company-wide top-line metric strategy: ensure data coverage, accurate forecasting for goals.
- Lead predictive modeling and ML work: own models shaping product direction, mentor data scientists.
- Provide mentorship and thought partnership to senior data scientists.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience as data scientist.
- Highly fluent in SQL and Python for analysis, influencing engineering, data infrastructure, system design.
- End-to-end data pipeline expertise: triage issues, spec data engineering, lead data engineers.
- Designed/analyzed experiments, expertise in predictive modeling and ML techniques.
- Proactive product partner: identify questions, size opportunities.
- Clear communication: turn analysis into recommendations, build usable dashboards/visualizations.
- Thrive with autonomy in ambiguity, bias toward shipping, team player.
